verihealth develops a new medical solution, RoutineMD

verihealth, Inc. a leader in the ambulance industry has announced the start up of a new division, RoutineMD. The company started by CEO Gary Tennyson and VP Sean Sullivan is an in home medication compliance and fall prevention program. verihealth's commitment to the overall health and safety of the community while providing excellent customer service has been paramount in the success of the organization.

RoutineMD Vice President, Sean Sullivan who is also an EMT on the verihealth ambulances, saw first hand that the number one reason seniors were being readmitted to a hospital was due to a fall or for safety reasons such as medication compliance issues. "RoutineMD was a perfect fit for us in order to assure the continuum of care for our patients" said Sean. According to the American Medical Association, failure to properly take prescribed medications is the number one reason for hospital admissions. Additionally, according to the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons 30% of persons over the age of 65 years of age fall each year and about 40% of those falls are preventable. "We are currently in negotiations with a major healthcare provider to promote their own in home health and safety program for the community in which they serve." "We're finding it's a great way for hospitals, senior facilities and insurance companies to add a proven component of prevention for their clients' added Gary."

RoutineMD provides in home assessments for fall prevention, and through their home monitoring device can provide safety checks and medication compliance with the 24 hour 7 day a week call center. The waterproof pendant for emergencies with 24 / 7 monitoring and direct connection to health care providers at the push of a button are all included. Additional services available can include a wake up and tuck in service with daily living reminders i.e. lock your front doors and turn off the stove. This in home medication compliance and fall prevention program is designed to keep people safer and living independently longer, and ultimately keep them at home.

verihealth's mission is to be a market leader of safe and reliable medical solutions provided by a team of highly valued professionals always patient focused and community centered
