verihealth Attends the California EMS Conference
verihealth, Inc. was a sponsor of the California Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Conference at La Quinta Resort and Club in Palm Springs, CA on June 2, 2009. This year's conference covered topics including regionalization, governance, clinical excellence and specialty care. Pertinent issues such as the impacts of the economic and funding crisis on EMS, current trends and measurement tools and the development and implementation of new state guidance on tactical medicine were also discussed. Over 200 participants attended the conference.
verihealth CEO, Bruce H. Lee, served as the Conference Co-Director and played an instrumental role in the success of this year's event.
About EMSAAC
The Emergency Medical Services Administration of California (EMSAAC) is comprised of administrators from local emergency medical services agencies (LEMSAs). These county designated agencies are responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating a local integrated system of emergency medical services. The LEMSAs are partners with the State of California EMS Authority in carrying out the regulations and guidelines the Authority promulgates.
